Michael Parkinson interviews Michael Caine about acting

In Michael Parkinson's interview with Michael Caine (which was screened in Australia on 8th July 2000) he said that people generally perceived that acting was about "how you say the lines" or "what you do with the words" but for film he suggested that it's "what you do between the lines that is most relevant". For film it's the listening that's most important.
