LAST
AUDITION WORKSHOP FOR 2006
The deadline for payment of fees for Round Six Audition Workshop falls
on Monday 9th October. THERE IS STILL TIME TO ENROL and be assessed by
two extremely experienced casting directors - Nick Hamon and Neighbours’Jan
Russ. Actors who already have enrolled must pay their fees to confirm
their enrolment by 9th October.
There are
two ways to participate in these workshops. Actors can build their skills
by attending three Saturday morning sessions with Richard Sarell to explore,
extend and focus audition process and then be assessed by the visiting
casting directors ($310). Or they can test their existing skills by just
booking to see the casting directors ($145). FOR

These workshops
are extremely successful in improving actors auditioning capabilities.
Casting Directors are regularly commenting on the high standard they are
assessing at Rehearsal Room workshops.

A NEW TERM OF CLASSES
The
final term of the year’s classes is about to commence from 9th
October. The classes are in four levels from Introductory to MASTER
CLASS. These workshops provide actors a clear pathway to improving
their acting skills. ANA ALMANZA
studied a two year acting course in Switzerland and found she acquired
a wide range of diverse skills. But at The Rehearsal Room she had
many confusions resolved. “The
Rehearsal Room provides a manual. You suddenly realize the essential
things you have to do get a character and performance underway. It
provides a clear map to guide you towards practical performance goals.”

A really practical approach to TV Presenting which like Rehearsal Room

MP3
- The Path to Realism
A NEW Rehearsal
Room MP3 file is now available. It explores the basic
element that makes the Rehearsal Room view of process so successful. “The
Path to Realism” or “Too Many Bloody
Verbs” explains how Stanislavski teachers make the acting
process too complicated to manage efficiently. The Rehearsal Room’s
approach simplifies those complications in a very effective way. This
is the second ‘podcast’ created by Richard Sarell and it can
be downloaded by clicking
here. The first podcast deals with auditioning and the value
of audition workshops. It has some very useful tips on how to keep a scene
actively interesting. That first MP3 file can be downloaded by clicking
here.
