Rehearsal Room DVD
The first Rehearsal Room DVD/Video is complete and will soon be available. It was launched at the 2004 Drama Vic conference for drama teachers where it received an enthusiastic response. The DVD "The Creative Process of Making Performance" is in three parts - "Making Story Work", "Making Character Work", "Making Performance Work". Initially aimed at helping VCE students with their performance exams it in fact delivers a broad overview of performance process useful to all actors.

"The Creative Process of Making Performance" has been picked up by education distributor Hush Videos - it is also available through The Rehearsal Room website.

The Rehearsal Room has made all the Directors Notes previously published on the website available to everyone. In the past these have been stored in the archives in the Members Section of the website but NOW more than 20,000 words of DIRECTOR'S NOTES ARE AVAILABLE FOR YOU. Covering a wide range of topics twenty two articles explore such issues as "Auditions a Risky Business", "Being in 'The Zone'", "Careers, Agents and Showreels", "Centre of Gravity", "Confidence", "Emotion in Performance", "Hitting the Mark" and "The Effect the Camera has on Performance" and many more. A GORGEOUS SUCCESS
"Gorgeous Girls" produced by Caroline Lloyd and directed by Richard Sarell completed a very successful season at Gasworks Arts Park at the end of October. Playing to full houses this co-op production made a profit, distributing a small return to all the participants and received an enthusiastic response from audiences.
