Summer Intensive

The Summer One Week Intensives for both Actors and TV Presenters are just around the corner. Last years classes were a huge success with people travelling from the country and interstate to soak up The Rehearsal Room experience. The one week intensive workshops are a great way to explore the unique Rehearsal Room process. At The Rehearsal Room you wont be dealing with dreams of how to be a Hollywood star but instead you will be working on simple and very practical measures which will quickly make you a better actor or presenter. This is a practitioners approach to effective work practice. It is an approach that cuts through the mumbo jumbo and the myths, to work with simple practical methods that make a difference.

TV Presenters Skills
The Rehearsal Room has assembled the work of a number of TV Presenters who have attended the TV Presenters Workshop and they are now available online. CLICK HERE to view. In the final exercise of the course a programme is made with each presenter contributing a story. Each story includes an interview, 2 reports to camera and a voice over. A selection of pieces to camera have been included in the video.

Every so often independent producers contact The Rehearsal Room in their quest for a presenter. This reel has been prepared as a quick way of showing them a variety of options. Only the female reel is available at the moment. An edited reel of male presenters will be available shortly.

AUDITION NOTICES New System
There is a new process for posting auditions on The Rehearsal Room website.

The old bulletin board is no longer in use. It was causing too many maintainance problems and attracting pornography spammers so, in line with other Rehearsal Room principles, the process has been simplified. To view current auditions CLICK HERE.

Placing Audition Notices
Audition notices are now ONLY being accepted for Victoria. If you wish to have a notice placed on the RR website email the details to contact@rehearsalroom.com and they will be added to the audition page as quickly as is practical.

If you have a graphic or logo or poster you want to include then by all means attach a .jpg file to your email.

The Rehearsal Room has assisted a number of young film makers cast their projects this year. The publishing of auditions is another way of helping actors and directors build skill and experience.

There will be an increase in the cost of Rehearsal Room Workshops in 2010.

In line with Rehearsal Room principles the rises are aimed at covering increases in costs, including rent which is escalating significantly. The Rehearsal Room will always aim to provide the best classes in the country at reasonable prices and continues to maintain a policy of high value for money.
